Your 2026 Clinical Audit, Done
Your mandatory practice-evaluation activity for 2026 — cleared in one evening. Wednesday 25 November, online. Included with your seat at the January retreat.
Open your ANZCA portfolio. Under mandatory practice evaluation, is there a tick? If not, you are one of the fellows the college emails from August onwards. This is the evening that puts the tick there.
One of the faculty's own portfolios, 26 August. The item with no tick is the one this evening clears.
Multi-source feedback needs six colleagues.
A patient survey needs fifteen patients.
Peer review needs a senior colleague free for half a day.
A clinical audit needs a standard and a benchmark — and on 25 November we put both on the screen. Category 1, measuring outcomes, attendance certificate in your inbox by breakfast.

WHAT ONE EVENING CLEARS
The mandatory practice-evaluation activity · cleared via clinical audit, one of the four routes ANZCA accepts
What happens if it isn't there · ANZCA is obliged to report non-compliant participants to the Medical Board of Australia, every year
Category 1 · Measuring outcomes · clinical audit, in the college's own words — the five-hour minimum you cannot fill from a podcast
Critical reflection · the four prompts at the end are ANZCA's own; written up, that is a second Category 1 activity, reviewing performance
Time · about two hours all told. You record how much time it took you; the college sets no cap.
Structured as ANZCA's own clinical audit activity. You log it in your own portfolio, with the attendance certificate we send you.
How it runs
Before · one questionnaire, ten minutes: what you actually did with your last ten patients on a GLP-1. That is the audit data.
19:30 · the standard — what the guidance says, where the evidence is soft, where the faculty disagree with it.
19:55 · your practice against it, and against the room, live. Polls drill into the gaps as they appear.
20:15 · three faculty, three departures from the guideline, and the case that changed each of them.
20:45 · the four reflection steps, on screen. Complete them and the activity is done.
21:00 · stop.
What is in your inbox by breakfast
Your practice against the standard and against the room, one page
The reflection sheet, four prompts, ANZCA's wording
Your attendance certificate — naming the activity, the date and the standard you audited against
Nothing else.
And then January
You clear the 2026 item on a Wednesday night in November. Eight weeks later you clear the 2027 one before lunch on a Thursday — on a terrace above Long Beach, with thirteen Category 1 hours around it and the afternoons on the beach. Two years' worth of mandatory items, and December off the calendar for both.
The November Audit comes with your seat at the January retreat, and only with it. It cannot be booked separately. We give it away because January's audit runs the same way — and we would rather you see the six of us work before you spend a week with us. Reserve the retreat by 23 November — Chris's letter has the week, hour by hour → — and the invitation to 25 November is in your registration email.
Delegates registered by 23 November, when the questionnaire closes, receive the invitation. Not available on its own.

P.S. Register by 23 November and the November Audit comes with your seat. Retreat registrations close 18 December, or when the forty seats are taken. Chris's letter has the week, hour by hour →
